NCI: As the Radio Frequency Engineer, you will work with a team of professionals who are responsible for designing, implementing, and administering security systems for the safety of the United States. In assuming this position, you will be a critical contributor to meeting NCI's mission: To deliver innovative, cost-effective solutions and services that enable our customers to rapidly adapt to dynamic environments.

Highlights of Responsibilities:
 
  • Provide a broad range of support to various organizations of the US Government.
  • Duties include assisting with the support of an RF (radio frequency) receiver system. This work will involve selecting, installing, and testing RF components such as antennas, cables, switches, down converters, etc. The desired candidate for this position should be familiar with various methods of modulation, and different types of test and measurement equipment such as oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzers

Requirements:
 
  • Clearance Required: TS/SCI and able to obtain a Q
  • Minimum five years of professional hands-on engineering experience in the area of RF System level design, integration, and/or similar work is required of which two years is of project engineering/project management experience.
  • Must be knowledgeable in the following concepts:
  • Common antennas and RF cable designs and their characteristics
  • Harmonics
  • 3d order intercept point
  • Comb generators
  • Receiver sensitivity and selectivity
  • Analog and digital modulation techniques
  • Intermodulation
  • Programming test and measurement equipment via a computer interface
 Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor of Science in Electronic Engineering; 6-years of demonstrated hands-on technical experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
  • Technical Security Certification is a plus.
